Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to run the App:

• Account information — email address and a unique user identifier when you sign up (including when you upgrade from an anonymous session to a registered account).
• Budget data you enter — wallets, budget caps, periods, manual income and expense entries, recurring expense schedules, and other content you choose to save in the App.
• Device and diagnostic data — app version, device type, operating system, language, and crash reports collected automatically to keep the App stable.
• Usage analytics — anonymised events (e.g. screen views and feature usage) that help us understand how the App is used.

The App is a manual budgeting tool. We do not connect to your bank and we do not import transactions from any financial institution.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide core budgeting features and sync your data across your devices.
• To authenticate your account and keep it secure.
• To diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and improve performance.
• To respond to support requests you send us.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use your budget data for advertising.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

Where required by law (for example under the GDPR), we process your information on the basis of (a) performance of the contract between you and us to deliver the App, (b) our legitimate interests in operating and improving the App, and (c) your consent, where applicable.

4. Service Providers

We use a small number of trusted third parties to run the App:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Crashlytics, Remote Config) — for account sign-in, cloud storage, server logic, and crash reporting.
• Analytics providers — for aggregated, anonymised product analytics.
• App stores (Apple App Store, Google Play) — for distribution, in-app purchases, and subscription management.

These providers process information on our behalf under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not allow them to use your data for their own purposes.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your budget data is stored locally on your device and, when you are signed in, synced to Google Firebase servers. We apply industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account from within the App, we delete your account record and associated budget data from our active systems; residual copies may remain in backups for a limited period before being overwritten.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights from the Profile screen inside the App (export, request my data, delete account) or by contacting us at the address below.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including countries where our service providers operate. Where applicable, we rely on standard contractual clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, we will notify you inside the App. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
